We have just returned from a visit to this wonderful park, located in Felizzano.
For those who don’t know it, the Astrobiopark Oasis of Felizzano, is a large green area where families with children can spend a day outdoors in close contact with the animals in the park.
You can, for example, pet the bunnies and feed carrots to the alpacas.
But that’s not all, in fact the Oasis also has a play area, with wonderful trampolines, and an adventure park.
So let’s discover the Astrobiopark Oasis of Felizzano, with all the information you need to organise your visit.

How to get there
The Astrobiopark is located in Felizzano in the province of Alessandria, from which it is 16 kilometres away.
The park is located in open countryside, so it is best to reach it by car.
There is free parking near the entrance.
From Felizzano railway station, Astrobiopark is 2.3 kilometres away (30 minutes on foot).
Astrobiopark Oasis of Felizzano
Astrobiopark Oasis of Felizzano was created in 2015 thanks to the inventiveness of two biologists, Ersilia and Stefano.
The park, as mentioned, consists of three ‘sections‘:
- play area
- enclosure with animals
- adventure trail
The play area consists of trampolines and slides. Nearby, there are a few benches where parents can sit and keep an eye on their little ones.
If you wish, you can also spread out your tarp and have a picnic on the grass.
Pay attention to Maya, the little pig who wanders among the tables and sniffs the bags looking for something to put under her teeth. Very funny!
Also in this area are small enclosures with guinea pigs and bunnies that can be petted.
And then horses, ponies and the little donkey Pai to be admired ‘from afar’ because she is old and might bite.
The animal enclosure houses a picnic area and many free roaming animals such as peacocks, ostriches, turkeys, goats, alpacas and a baby calf.
There is also a pond on the shore of which a sort of sand beach has been recreated where children can get their feet wet and build towers and castles with the forms provided.
Finally, the adventure park consists of intriguing and non-trivial play stations, such as a pulley, a raft course, a climbing wall, and wooden bridges leading to a castle.
In an elevated position, there is also a giant bench that is not part of the Big Bench circuit, but which always attracts a lot of attention!

Opening hours
The Oasis is open on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
Prices
The entrance ticket is made at the bar located next to the entrance, and is priced at:
- from 11:00 a.m.: 7,00€ adults and children aged 5 and over, 3,50€ children aged 3 and 4, free of charge underneath;
- from 2 p.m. in the afternoon: €5.00 adults and children aged 5 and over, €2.50 children aged 3 and 4, free of charge underneath.
Where to eat
At the Astrobiopark you can bring your packed lunch and eat it at the table or on the lawns.
You can also bring your own meat and grill it, or eat a sandwich at the bar.
Information for grilling
If you would like to organise a barbecue, reservations are required at the beginning of the week.
The cost is €10,00 for adults and €5,00 for children aged 3 and 4, and includes admission to the park, barbecue station, wood and charcoal.
I don’t know about you, but I have not found such honest prices around.

Birthday celebrations
At the Oasis of Felizzano you can also celebrate your children’s birthdays in the afternoon at 3-6.30 pm.
Two formulas are proposed by the park:
- Rental only: space with tables, benches and gazebo at the price of €140.00 for up to 50 guests (adults children).
- All-inclusive: rental plus catering for 35 guests (adults and children) at the price of 270.00€ including 1 pizza tray, 1 focaccia tray, Nutella sandwiches, ham sandwiches, chips, soft drinks, water.
Astronomical observations
Twice a month, the Oasis organises guided observations of the night sky (on Saturdays) and the sun (on Sundays) lasting 2 hours and 1 hour respectively.
The prices are €8.00 for the astronomical evening and €5.00 for the sun observation.

My review
The Astrobiopark of Felizzano is a place where children can play and be in close contact with animals.
It is a place you will struggle to drag them away from!
Everything is designed and organised on a family scale, for parents’ relaxation and children’s fun.
We really liked the Astrobiopark and, thanks to the various attractions, we spent the whole day in it.
In our opinion, the park is suitable for children aged between 2 and 10 years.
The games in the adventure trail are aimed at slightly older children (aged 4 to 5 years).
The ticket price is really very competitive and, ultimately, the Astrobiopark is worth the trip even if, like us, you don’t live nearby!
Remember sun cream and a hat for the little ones because it can get very hot in the park.
